QwickBuild - The components that make up the structural system

01 Joist

Horizontal framing profiles which deck surfaces are fixed. Joists run parallel and are attached to the beams.

02 Beams

Horizontal structural profiles that support the joists and distribute the load to the supports, beams are perpendicular to joists.

03 Fasteners

Depend on the chosen surface, for example screws for hardwood, hidden fixings for composites, tiles and turf baseboards.

04 Accessories

Include a range of brackets to connect the framework and provide additional structural support.

05 Supports

Placed on the substrate to provide a stable, low height base for the frame, also helping with drainage and ventilation.

06 Posts

Vertical structural elements that bear the weight of the deck and transfer it to the ground or footings. Often made of timber, steel or QwickBuild and commonly used in raised / elevated decks.
